News And Greetings From Across The Pond (BradT)

Here's an email sent to the OCSG address from a fellow canoe/kayak sailor in the USA with a couple of photos taken from his site, which is also linked below.

I came across your website while browsing on the Raptor UK site and was enjoying the photos posted in the "Meets" section. Looks like you have a nice group to enjoy the camaraderie of sailing their different rigs. You're fortunate to still have a variety of undeveloped coastal areas and lochs with camping access.

I live on Long Island, NY, which has beautiful harbors, bays, and sound, but camping is almost non-existent, and the land is mostly private or environmentally protected. There's enough access for day sailing but I'm always the only sailing kayak out there.

I have to drive 600 miles to North Carolina to experience the fun of kayak and canoe sailing gatherings. My photo site shows my interest in these "Gatherings" and displays many unique rigs.
